A LE CARTEL x EL DIABLO collaboration

Boris Dolivet, aka EL DIABLO, author, screenwriter and creator of cult series such as Les Lascars and Les Kassos, has established an incisive, funny and deeply human style since the 2000s.

Based in Montreal, he joined the LE CARTEL family first through affinity, then through sincere friendship, before signing several major collaborations with us. In 2020, he created a now cult visual for the opening of our first boutique. In 2024, he took part in the Paris est une fête exhibition to celebrate our arrival in France.

For our 10th anniversary, it seemed obvious to give him carte blanche again, or almost. Together, we went back into his archives to revive THE END, a deliciously absurd work of black humor. Two dinosaurs discussing New Year's Eve while a meteorite hurtles towards them.

It's all here: the irony, the finesse, the acid look at a world dancing on the edge of the abyss.

Pionnier du graffiti dans les late 80’s Eldiablo, artiste tombé dans la bande dessinée et le cartoon depuis sa plus tendre enfance, a longtemps puisé l’essentiel de son inspiration dans son vécu de jeune banlieusard, faisant de lui un reporter du quotidien urbain. On a coutume de lui prêter la paternité de la « BD Hip Hop. » Les tranches de vie qu’il publiait dans les années 90 dans la revue PSIKOPAT ont servi de base à la série LASCARS qu’il a co-créée avec des membres de son crew (Petits cons de Peintres) et d’anciens camarades de l’école des Gobelins. Il est aussi un des papas de la websérie LES KASSOS. Auteur multi casquettes, Eldiablo travaille toujours sur quinze projets en même temps. Il est peintre, illustrateur, bédéaste, réalisateur et scénariste, mais se définit avant tout comme un raconteur d’histoires, témoin de son temps.
