Graphic designer, illustrator, art director: PETITOM is part of LE CARTEL's DNA. For many years, he has shaped our visual universe with his simple, hard-hitting ideas, and his humor that's both tender and offbeat.

He is behind several visuals that have become brand classics, such as Style is the Answer, Maison de Convoitises and Love is in the Air - pieces that are now in our Hall of Fame.

FURBALL is a nod to this shared history... and a joyful teaser of what's to come. Because behind this mischievous cat and the ball of wool that traces our logo lies much more: a longstanding complicity, and a major collection planned for 2026.

Petitom is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Montreal. A graduate in graphic design from the Université du Québec à Montréal, he specializes in illustration and 2D animation. Thomas Bertrand served as Art Director at LE CARTEL from 2020 to 2024. He is also the creator of several designs for the brand, including the “HORS SÉRIES”, a collection of humorous pieces combining minimalist drawings with literary quotes. Thomas Bertrand’s artistic evolution is marked by a shift from a vibrant color palette to more restrained tones, emphasizing the expressiveness of the drawing and the impact of the illustration’s message. Often driven by the desire to provoke laughter—and always with the intent to get to the essence—Thomas shapes his visual world with clarity and wit.
